About Sage Foundation for Health

Sage Foundation for Health funds seven community clinics throughout the Phoenix-Metro area where students from Sonoran University’s College of Naturopathic Medicine provide free healthcare. Patients at these clinics include families in low-income school districts; survivors of domestic violence; individuals recovering from homelessness, trauma, and substance use; and those seeking LGBTQ+ care.

Our partnership with the SupplySide community has helped Sage Foundation provide quality healthcare for nearly ten years. Our approach focuses on prevention and early identification of chronic and acute health conditions, access to non-opioid pain relief, nutritional support, and lifestyle changes while fostering a collaborative environment that addresses the diverse needs of the community and enhances overall public health.

Additionally, these shifts give Sonoran University students a unique opportunity to provide treatment and gain skills and experience in a community healthcare setting and enhance their cultural competence working with a diverse patient population. Treatments often include clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, physical medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, and prescription medicines when necessary. Thanks to generous community support, services and treatments are provided to patients at no cost.

Arizona Charitable Tax Credit

Are you an Arizona local? Donations to Sage Foundation qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit! You can receive a credit on your Arizona tax liability up to $470 individually or $938 for couples filing jointly, based on your donation.

There are four types of Arizona tax credits. Sage Foundation for Health is a Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO), eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit.  Any Arizona taxpayer is eligible to claim this credit and it does not conflict with other Arizona tax credits. This means that you can donate to each type of organization and claim each credit. If you itemize your federal taxes, your gift to Sage Foundation will also qualify as a federal deduction.
